about

An old track that was revived as a collision of something that had nothing to do with 99.9 itself besides reminding me I had this somewhere. Back in the early days listening to the station I'd hear more than a few classic TV and Film themes... as someone who spent most of their early career as an artist doing sound-alikes before eventually composing an entire film score of original and TV show theme parodies, these tunes always stood out.

One project I scored was an audio book/radio play based on 70s exploitation tropes so it required appropriate music. Despite crashing and burning upon it's release into the world, I often dreamed of an entire sequel based on spaghetti westerns, the kind that would have been scored by Ennio Morricone, for no other reason than trying my hand at giving that genre of music a shot.

This was one of my early attempts at the opening credit track. Not the energy or as propulsive as a Morricone but perhaps related distantly
